Connectivity and functional characterization of the mouse contralateral projecting neurons in basolateral amygdala

چکیده
Amygdala is widely known as a critical neural hub for modulating negative emotions such fear and anxiety. Recent studies have shown that the basolateral amygdala (BLA) has reciprocal innervation, which plays an important role in regulating social interaction associative memory. However, connectivity pattern functional of contralateral projecting BLA neurons stress-related anxiety are not fully understood. Here, using virus tracing strategy, we first characterized BLA. Then, examined effect stress on changes those specific neuronal populations mouse model inescapable footshock stress. The results showed fibers labeled by enhanced green fluorescent protein (EGFP) no collateral projections to ipsilateral or hippocampus. Interestingly, they some medial prefrontal cortex. Behavioral increases anxiety-like behavior mice; however, excitatory synaptic transmission intrinsic excitability measured whole-cell patch clamp recording did change after exposure. In conclusion, our indicate may contribute behavior.

the effect of functional/notional approach on the proficiency level of efl learners and its evaluation through functional test
in fact, this study focused on the following questions: 1. is there any difference between the effect of functional/notional approach and the structural approaches to language teaching on the proficiency test of efl learners? 2. can a rather innovative language test referred to as "functional test" ge devised so so to measure the proficiency test of efl learners, and thus be as much reliable an...

Interconnections between orbitofrontal cortex (OFC) and basolateral amygdala (ABL) are critical for encoding and using associative information about the motivational significance of stimuli. Previously, we reported that neurons in OFC and ABL fired selectively to cues during odor discrimination learning and reversal training. Here we conducted an analysis of correlated firing in the cell pairs ...
متن کاملProlonged behavioral stress enhances synaptic connectivity in the basolateral amygdala.
Recently identified cellular and molecular correlates of stress-induced plasticity suggest a putative link between neuronal remodeling in the amygdala and the development of anxiety-like behavior. Rodent models of immobilization stress, applied for 10 consecutive days, have been reported to enhance anxiety, and also cause dendritic elongation and spine formation in the basolateral amygdala (BLA...

Introduction: Identifying the potential firing patterns following different brain regions under normal and abnormal conditions increases our understanding of events at the level of neural interactions in the brain. Furthermore, it is important to be capable of modeling the potential neural activities to build precise artificial neural networks. The Izhikevich model is one of the simplest biolog...
